The most coveted accolade; three gold stars at the Great Taste Awards. The judges described it as follows: Great Taste Judges: "Balanced. Fruity with cherries and a basketful of red fruits that fill the mouth in a glorious fashion. Clever roasting - all separately, all the same level of roast. This delivers perfect balance and a long, long finish and when milk was added, we found ourselves transported to coffee heaven. Such skilled blending into a coffee that will always please." "There's an excellent light touch here with the different profiles working well together to produce a delicious, light fruity note. Milk rounds off all the flavours beautifully." Torero is a serious coffee. It's exceptionally good. The flavour is REALLY big and immediate, it's strong in caffeine and it's delicious any way you serve it. This is a darker roast than any other Dreambeans blend, so be ready for a change if you're used to our medium roasts. It might take you a little while to adjust. Whether you drink it black, white, espresso or long, Torero always delivers its flavour. If the truth be told, we based this coffee on the espresso we used to drink al banco in a fantastic little bar in Milan when a friend lived there years ago. It's a long time ago now but the flavour was so memorable we blended, cupped and tasted until we got it right. Torero is so full of flavour that we use a little less coffee per cup than with other Dreambeans blends. We reduced the dose from 18g to 16g in our espresso machines and we use a little less in a French press or Moka Pot. Be prepared to play around a little with this to find the sweet spot for your taste. It's worth doing. -

Two Gold Stars, Great Taste Awards
Jaggy Loko is a very special coffee. Don't take our word for it, the judges at the Great Taste Awards, the most prestigious of all coffee awards gave it two gold stars in 2019, saying: "Good looking beans, individual varieties seem to have been roasted separately. We tasted it as espresso then with milk and the rich fruitiness is suddenly developed. Such a good chocolatey, malted biscuit finish. You set out to create a great flat white and that's exactly what you've done." The inspiration for Jaggy Loko came when we found its primary constituent, a lovely rich dark Colombian with the longest finish we’ve seen in a long time. A broker from The Hague tipped us off to a small consignment and we snapped it up straight away. We have since secured a regular supply of this lovely bean. We rounded out the top notes with a very smooth Sumatran Mandheling to counteract its tendency towards astringency and added some big high-grown Brazilian beans to make it more amenable to milk. Touches of Honduran and Mexican Arabicas complete the picture. It's a terrific coffee and a great favourite for many of our customers. -
Sweet, smooth and strong, gourmet coffee blend

Sweet Sorrento won two gold stars in the 2018 Great Taste Awards. The judge's commentary was: “Lovely crema and very light, silky and refined without milk. Add the milk and the caramel sweetness sits on your tongue giving warm chocolate notes. A silky tongue filler.” Sweet Sorrento is smooth and sweet with a pleasing bite in the finish. On the nose it is smooth, rich and sweet but in the cup, the smoothness is complimented by a subtle caffeine kick towards the end. The bite comes late in the taste notes, adding considerable length to the finish and letting the flavour linger in your mouth for a few seconds longer. Despite its smooth taste, Sweet Sorrento is relatively strong in caffeine, making it a very versatile blend, ideal as either a morning or evening coffee. -

Cinco Jalisco has bags of flavour and good caffeine levels to kickstart your day. There is plenty of body and great balance bite but no bitterness. It's very good with milk and it's also great black, either as an espresso or Americano. We love its big flavour and the lovely bite. It takes a lot of tasting and roasting to get the balance right between bite and mouthfeel but when you get it right it's fantastic. Like all Dreambeans coffee, you can drink it as strong as you like without ever crossing the line into bitterness. The caffeine hit is a welcome bonus first thing in the morning or when you need a mid-afternoon boost. The Best Decaf Coffee We've Ever Tasted

We were never really fans of decaffeinated coffee until we found this amazing Mexican bean a few years ago. Every other decaf coffee we ever tried wasn't nearly as good; they just couldn't compete with regular coffee. So why is Decaf Dream so good? We're not really sure, to be perfectly honest. We think it's just a happy accident of terroir, treatment and natural selection. The coffee is grown at high elevation (like very many great coffees) by Rainforest Alliance certified producers, it isn't harvested any differently and we don't really treat it very differently in the roaster, but the results are just amazing. After a fairly straightforward medium roast at medium to low temperature, it tastes just like a top grade bean with full caffeine, it has great length, the mouth feel is terrific and it even has a great crema from an espresso machine. It's a real find and it has opened our eyes to how good a decaf coffee can be. Now, we drink it late at night and we especially love it with a drop of Baileys, brandy or even a nip of whiskey after dinner. *Discount is applied in the shopping cart. -

Great Taste Award Winner 2021
High Segovia won a Great Taste Award in 2021. The judges praised the "lovely inviting aroma" and "thick crema" saying it was "very bright to begin with" and that it has "interesting flavours in the finish". We're delighted to add this award for High Segovia to our growing list of accolades. The backbone of this coffee is a beautiful strictly high grown (SHG) bean grown high in the mountains of Segovia, Nicaragua. These bright, hard beans create a delicious citrus fruity topnote that softens into an almond-nougat sweetness in the finish. The smoothness of High Segovia is typical of these slow growing beans from the high altitudes of the Dipilto mountains but the crisp acidity of this batch is untypical. This acidity gives the coffee a very satisfying bite and kick, without ever crossing the line into bitterness. We added a really good Brazilian Bourbon to this blend, to open up the flavour profile and allow it to cut through the creaminess if you drink it with milk. -

Nothing delivers base strength and silky smoothness like strictly high grown Mandheling beans from Sumatra so this was a great starting point. We added some beautiful clean, bright, Yirgacheffe beans from Ethiopia to give the coffee more bite and to bring the flavour forward in the profile. A Segovian from Nicaragua complimented the length and added some sweetness in the finish without crowding out the Mandheling. A final seven percent of our favourite Brazilian brought the whole thing home. It's terrific coffee and it's great anywhere. We developed this blend for drinking after swimming in the sea every day during the first lockdown in 2020. When you really need a hot, swift caffeine kick after a swim, this coffee will get you going. There's no need to sacrifice strength for smoothness. Rising tide is deceptive in its smoothness and its great flavour. It has enough of a caffeine kick to get us moving again after a good sea swim when your fingers and toes are going white in the cold. Wewanted an immediate burst of flavour to cut through the salt and get our taste buds working again. We also wanted a coffee we could drink either with milk or without, because some days heating up milk to bring in a flask is too much hassle and we need all the heat we can get so we never use cold milk after a swim. Try it and see. It's not just for sea swimmers. Everyone loves Rising Tide! Smooth as silk with a deceptive caffeine kick. -
Rich smoothness with complex finish

The backbone origin of this blend is a lovely Colombian Bourbon which gives the coffee its amazing smoothness and the earthy nuttiness in the initial flavour. The rich intensity of a small quantity of darker roasted Honduran beans kicks in then, filling your mouth with a more complex fruity sensation with a satisfying bite (but no bitterness). This evens out to reveal the rich carbonised coffee notes in the finish. Bourbon Manizales is great black, as an espresso or Americano but the Brazilian Daterra, the third element in the blend really lends itself to milk, opening up the flavour and allowing the milk proteins to bring it all together. -
Not just for cyclists! A terrific blend of four top quality coffee beans, roasted to perfection and designed to deliver. An excellent Strictly High Grown (SHG) Brazilian is the backbone of this blend, complemented by a rich Ethiopian Arabica which deepens the flavour profile and adds citrus to the immediate upfront taste. We added eight percent of a small bright Costa Rican bean, just enough to give it the right length and bite, and rounded it out with a smooth, rich Yellow Bourbon from Colombia. A beautiful blend. Great as an americano, great with milk or without. Revolution has a decent caffeine kick (about 66mg in an expresso), enough to keep you going strong but not enough to give you the shakes if you're on your third one! -

Tiger Paw is something special — a clean, bright Ethiopian-Kenyan blend with vivid citrus and floral notes, zero bitterness, and a long, satisfying finish. If you've never tried a coffee this clean, prepare to be surprised. If you like your coffee clean and sweet with a bright tang and enough acidity to give it a decent bite, Tiger Paw is the blend for you. The Strictly High Grown (SHG) Yirgacheffe beans are some of the most prized coffee beans in the world, grown at altitude where the cool temperatures slow the cherry's development and concentrate its flavour. We balance these with a big-bodied Kenyan that adds weight, smoothness and that long, lingering finish. These beautiful beans respond best to a medium roast which protects the high tone and complexity of the coffee. It's great to drink either with milk or without. Tiger Paw is very versatile in how it can be brewed and it lends itself particularly well to brewing in a French press or pour over but you should give it about a minute longer to brew than normal to get the most out of it. Great Rich Coffee Blend, Best With Milk

The base notes of the Cafe Supremo blend are best described as rich and chocolatey; unsurprising, given the fine quality Brazilian origins of its main component. The complexity in the body and the length of the finish are provided by selected high grown beans from Nicaragua and Ethiopia. These beans that give the coffee its unique accents and rich mouth-feel are roasted a few degrees lower than most beans, and cooled immediately to enhance and lock the flavour in. All in all, Cafe Supremo is a great blend of finest grade coffee beans for milk-based coffee in particular, although it works fine as espresso on its own. *Discount is applied in the shopping cart.
