Caoimhe O’Dwyer and Pat McArdle, Dreambeans Coffee Roasters
Independent family-owned busineses.
Dreambeans Coffee is a family business, and so is Greenbean Coffee Roasters. Dreambeans is run by husband and wife team, Pat McArdle and Caoimhe O’Dwyer, and sometimes when there’s a big order, or when we need more bags, we are ably assisted by our six children. When we’re all sitting around the table sticking labels on bags or making up samples, it really feels like a family enterprise. The kids love the opportunity to earn some extra pocket money and we love to see them working together and learning about how a business runs.
Greenbean Coffee Roasters is run by husband and wife team, Pat and Deirdre Grant. They have been running the business together since 1987. There is a family connection between the two businesses as the two Pats (Pat Grant and Pat McArdle) are first cousins.
When you buy coffee from Dreambeans, you’re supporting two independent, family-owned Irish businesses. Your money stays in the community. We provide employment here in Ireland. We pay taxes here, we buy things locally when we can. This isn’t a multi national corporation shifting its profits from one jurisdiction to another, it’s a family business working together to make the very best coffee you’ve ever tasted.
We believe coffee should be sublime…
Good enough to change your day.
Life is too short for bad coffee. It’s always the little things that make your life better. An incremental build-up of small indulgences. Coffee is one of the things that really makes a difference. The simple pleasure of a sublime cup of coffee in your favourite mug in your favourite nook of the kitchen. It’s an everyday luxury.
Great coffee costs only a little bit more than (very) ordinary coffee, yet the pleasure it gives, the sheer enjoyment of a single cup of the good stuff? It’s worth a half a ton of the ordinary stuff from the big chain shops. Just think how much happiness a single kilo of really good coffee will bring into your life over the course of a fortnight? Wouldn’t that make it worth spending just a little more?
